They're really real and finally here!

So to all of you who have put up with Papa and Nana's excitement of having 4 new grandchildren, they've finally arrived. I'm here in Colombia with them. It has been quite the adventure. After a few days of arriving and settling in before the munchkins arrived, we were finally able to go and pick them up. It is hard to put into words my feelings as I first laid eyes on theirs. I had the camera so they took me to where the children were waiting anxiously for their new mami and papi. They opened the door and they recognized me as their abella/abalitta. They ran to me and hugged me. That started my crying but it didn't end there. I led them into the room Rachel and Adam were in and they ran to them and fell into their arms saying mami/papi and they just kept talking up a storm. I stood their with tears running down my face trying to hold the video camera still. They were beautiful ninos and ninas. They wanted us to know everything and show us everything. I am so gratefull to Adam and Rachel for giving me this opportunity to share in this bonding of a family. Words cannot express what this experience has been for me. Watching these little ninos experience a whole new life is amazing. They have so much love to offer and now they have a mami and papi that really love them and want them forever. Their little lives have changed forever but they have changed our family now too. They know I'm their grandma, nana, abalitta and I'm so touched when they run into my arms or come running down the hall yelling for me. I love the little walks where they take my hand and don't want me to stay behind. I am so grateful for a heavenly father and his love for our family. The long wait for them is behind us, and now a new life begins. I have witnessed small miracles through this process. The many friends and family who have supported Rachel and Adam in their adoption journey. To you I give my thanks, for helping this become a reality to these 4 little spirits. May God continue to bless our family and yours.

I'm finally here!

So to all my children who have given me a bad time about writing on my blog that Lindsey created for me, I am finally here. Yes, it truly is me writing and not Lindsey updating this for me. I'm here in Colombia in the hotel with my two computer geaks. So, why not learn how to do this. Rachel and Adam have ran my little feet off the past 2 days. They're having to slow down their pace to not leave me in the dust. I appreciate their thoughtfulness. Today we spent touring the old part of Bogota where the Presidents and Senate buildings are. I saw many churches and the beginning culture of Colombia. We ate at good old McDonalds. Can you believe that? We saw a protest in the presidential square. We saw a great deal of art museums. I had tear drops when I saw one little girl about 5 walking alone in a very dirty dress. It broke my heart to think what she is going through on a daily basis. It makes me know for sure what Adam and Rachel are trying to do for these four children is to give them a much better life than they could ever have here. We are so blessed to have what we have. Tonight we went to good old Baskin and Robbins for a treat. It was oh so yummy! Tomorrow we are going to attend church. It will be very interesting. I hope I can remember enough spanish to pick up on some of the meaning of their talks. So I'm not as good as my kids at this but I'm at least trying. I'll post some things later. Next step is to have Rachel and/or Adam help me put a picture on it. Thanks for listening....

And so it begins...

We now have a huge hole in our kitchen wall
leading to the outside apartments.
It feels so much bigger and open w/out the
coffin there.

It was hard to see our coffin go it has been there forever. But we are excited and ready to expand.

MEXICO Report

Mom and Dad are having a blast they say it is so beautiful and warm. They visited the ancient ruins and said they were amazing. Dad was able to go snorkling and said that that was really pretty and fun. Unfortunatley Mom and Dad came down with fevers but luckily they sell penicillin there with out a perscription. They are doing fine they are just sad that they were pushed back a day because of it. Mom dosent want to come home she told Dad he should have taken a couple more days. They are enjoying Rick and Myra's company, I am so happy that they were able to go with friends! The resort they are staying in is one of the best in Mexico I think they said it was 41/2 star. They are just loving it and hate to leave so soon but I sure am ready to have them home I have gotten used to having mom and dad around! I miss you guys come home safe!
